(of Pacific Seacraft/Cabo Rico fame), this Westsail 43 cutter rigged yawl has circumnavigated in 2012-2016 (with 2 adults and 2 small children) as well as rounding Cape Horn and sailing the length of the Americas. She was prepped in winter 2021 for another extensive voyage which has been curtailed after 1 year due to family circumstances (after sailing from the UK to Portugal). She is lying in the Portuguese Algarve ready to cross the Atlantic or head off into the Mediterranean. This is a cruising boat with extensive spares and full galley ware, 2 dinghies and an outboard, full survey + rigging survey 2021, 3 coats of Seajet platinum antifoul in August 2021, and approximately 600 litres of diesel in the tanks. She has ample storage space with 2 hanging lockers, and a selection of dry stores will be left to use or discard. You have all you need to set off tomorrow! An extremely seaworthy and sea kindly boat, we have weathered a force 10 storm at sea and surfed down 9 meter waves without incidence. Her canoe stern and long keel makes her very reliable when running in large seas. As a cutter rigged yawl, it's easy to manage the sail area with a crew of 2. Built in 1976 in California, the GRP layup is up to 2 inches thick making her perhaps one of the solidest built fibreglass boats in existence. This is in our opinion, one of the safest yachts in which to cross oceans. She has been a fine home to us since 2012 and awaits her next adventure.
